HELL NO, IT'S DESTROYING IT! Look at San Francisco and the major universities. You can't practice freedom of speech anymore without "offending" somebody. Political correctness in politics is why the Iraq situation is in a quagmire. Too many PC politicians calling the shots and not listening to the advice of the troops. Too many cowardly politicans "caring" what other nations think of the USA and how we are percieved on the world stage without any considerations to the realities of war. Political correctness running amok is why the state of California is in such a mess.

well if you think that you certainly picked the correct screen name ! about the only thing that can save this country is a drastic overhaul of the system ridding ourselves of this stupid 2 party system and instead instituting a draft for public office ! I want to see deep gouges in the concrete out side the whitehouse and see some poor bastach in the oval office chained to the desk to keep him from running !as well as a few other changes I have given here all you have to do is look for them !

politically correct actually is an old soviet union term, used to describe speech that must follow the party line. so I guess the question is , will communism save the country? hardly. a strong form of nationalism will.

No
Political correctness is thought control, Big Brotherism at its worse. Its been the ruination of the country and it (not the Patriot Act) is responsible for curtailment of freedom and the encouragement of lawlessness and a general breakdown in our society.

I think people don't understand that political correctness and common decency are not synonymous.

On the large scale neither reactivism nor revolutionism are consistently productive.

Political correctness is nothing more than social censorship.

Speak your mind. Exercise your rights.
Sometimes you just have to call people , places , and things , by their name or what ever atribute you and others notice most.

No. Punishing free speech under the mantle of 'tolerance' will have a stifling effect on society until there is a backlash. It will not be pleasant.
