That was the crudest question I've ever seen. No, we are not. Decomposition happens when the enzymes that formerly digested food digest us, called autolysis. This is also sped up by carrion eaters and bacteria, who break down our bodies into simpler molecules. Breakdown by bacteria is known as putrefaction.

That is nature's way of recycling our bodies. If we didn't decompose and break down back into dust, we would quickly run out of storage space. It is actually a unique and amazing process if you take the time to learn about it.

You are equating the word fertilizer to manure. Manure is only one type of fertilizer. So the answer is NO! Oh and the person who stated that we turn to dust... that is incorrect....
