I use a 2gb Iaudio Mp3 Player and it holds about 400 songs more or less depending on song length and format. What you have to realize is alot of mp3 players contain a program that takes up space so that you'll have a good interface and other features.

One solution to holding more mp3s in your Mp3 player is to use Musicmatch Jukebox, it has an option to change the quality of your mp3s so that they take up less space. 112 is not much different from 128 but I think 128 is the safest choices and it'll let you hold much more songs than high quality WMA and other formats.
