In the Inter Milan-Lazio game, a player got carded for "decent". I would like to know what it means.

just for the record.. it isn't 'decent'; which is another word for not bad. but DISSENT.... that it probably why you had trouble looking it up in dictionaries.. etc. this however, in a footbaling contexts, is where a player show disrespect etc to a referee, or a fan. usually performed by kicking the ball away, swearing, etc. It is generally issued with a yellow card.

You mean 'dissent'.

It means things like arguing with the referee, delaying play or being stubborn and petulant, like a spoilt kid.

decent is when you curse at somebody or delay the game.
