I definitly want to get it by that time Esp if MGS4 and/or FFXIII Make it by the end of 07. So thats right for now I'm going to hope by that time theres a least a slight price drop (Perhaps 50 buck?) well do you think this seems likely? and Will you be doing the same as me? (Just wondering..........)

That is a great idea. Even now there are SO many cool things out for PS2. Like Guitar Hero, and that karakoe game. It's tons of fun. I think the PS3 is overated because all it has is different graphics, and the outside is different. And there's only a few games out for it.

That last guy is right. 2007 isn't really the best time. The 360 hasn't even dropped and it's been around since 2005. I'd suggest waiting. $50 is getting you nowhere. Just keep saving. It'd probably be 2008 and the prices won't even drop. I'd suggest waiting till the 3rd quarter of 2008 and hopefully it'll drop $100.
Oh, and I think that these things are just made for kids to whine to their parents about how lucky their rich friends are and drive their parents insane until they spend until an entire car payment on a stupid game system that breaks a few hours after playing it, but then they don't have enough money to repair it because they just tanked $600 and now they can't afford to pay off their car and they have to work late at night until they can finally afford a repair after about 11 months of hard working. Yeah, it's really worth $600.

heck yea man. It's ridiculous that people would spend that much money just for a game council, let alone the price of each game and the accessories. that is unless you have that kind of money to throw around. They hike up the prices because they know people will pay that much and once they stop selling, they bring down the price for the less wealthy part of society. What's even more ridiculous is that they only sold a selected amount. I think it's to get kids to play their rich friends ps3 so when they come out with more the rest of the kids will beg their parents to buy them one.

I have not seen many game on the PS3 that I want to play, so I will be getting a 360 and a Wii

I would do the same thing not only for games, but just in case the PS3 has some bugs. I don't want to get one that is messed up.
