It could happen. If you use just a small amount then they will not choke. Make sure you apply directly to the gums and it should not be a problem. I've used baby oragel with my son many times. I always use a q-tip to make sure it doesn't go to the back of his mouth or my fingers slip. I think the key is; apply with caution.

Fiction!

Why would it be a product designed specificaly for babies if it could make them choke? If you have ever used oragel yourself, you know the numbing feeling can spread from the area you first applied it to. The same goes for the little ones, but it defintly isn't harmful.

Did you ever try it yourself? I was curious. The amount that you are supposed to give them is so tiny I really doubt it. I put a dab on my tongue and it made my tongue numb for a few minutes, but it really never made it anywhere near my throat. Even if your throat is numb it still works.

Yes, this is a fact. This is why you need to read and understand the directions and warnings throughly. This could also happen to adults using the adult version of Orajel. Best of luck to you.

Absolute fiction if you use it on their gums. If you squirted the back of their throat with the entire tube, I'm sure it could. Used properly, no way.

Its very possible. Put a mall dot of it on ur tongue and u will see how your tongue reacts. I did it because i wont give my son anyhting unless i try it first and it made my tongue go numb where i put it.

This is a fact, but as long as your careful not to use to much and get it where they need it your little one should be all set.
