I doubt there's a timer on the fridge. You could try it again, this time don't set it on max and see if the fridge cools, even a little bit...it does sound lke the compressor may not be up to par, or perhaps the freon has escaped from the system....
Good luck

If everything is operating and you can hear the compressor and fans running, than there is only 2 things that it could be... Either you have a leak in the sealed system, and now there is no freon in the refrigerator, or you have a bad compressor... The only thing that the timer controls, is the defrost of the refrigerator so that can't be your problem...If this is a new refrigerator, than I would take it back for an exchange... The normal warranty on a sealed system is 5 yrs, This will include the compressor too...

Look, everybody, this is really simple. It just needs refridgerant fluid and oil. If the fridge was sitting too long or turned at a funny angle, the coolant would have leaked out. Check the label on the side of the compressor, but it's probably r132-A coolant (freon), which means you'll need to have a professionally licensed repairman put the freon in for you (you can't buy r132-A). Make sure he checks for leaks as well.

There should be a fan down by the compressor. Check to see that it is running when the compressor comes on. If it is ok make sure that there is a coverover the hole where the fan and compressor are. If the cover is missing, it will not cool the compressor or the condenser coils properly causing the unit to overheat and shut off.

Yeah, i might in simple terms placed funds right into a clean refrigerator. it extremely is a few thing which you decide on, and you're in simple terms going to be changing section after section on the only you have now. in simple terms bypass to an outlet save, and you will come across a reasonably much less costly one. My Dad offered a clean Kenmore refrigerator; it had each and all the bells and whistles. Water, Ice, Filtered, etc...and he paid one million/2 on the opening because of the fact there became the littlest dent in it!
