Bjorn Borg or Pete Sampras. Bjorn does not get the attention he deserves, because he was a drug addict. If Bjorn wouldn't have been a drug addict. He would have been the best ever and Sampras wouldn't have been able to break his record.

Of course, the first premise we have to assume is that the tennis great and Federer will be of the same age.

Then my bet would be on Pete Sampras, followed by John McEnroe or Bjorn Borg...

Nobody.....in a 5 set match on grass...not clay.Remember how Roger, just a teenager, humiliated Sampras at Wimbledon?Sampras was lucky to retire with ever meeting Federer again.

5.) Pete Sampras - He has the best all around game and his serve is much better than Federer's.

If Federer had played agaist Sampras again I very much doubt he would lose as he definitely believed he can beat Sampras after that Wimbly'01 match...

Only one I reckon who could challenge Federer... perhaps Laver, and perhaps is another player on the list is a lefty, they too would have a chance...
