it isn't improper to breastfeed in public as long as i don't have to see someone else's boob. i have breastfed before and i believe in it. however, i don't believe that breastfeeding gives me right to just flop my boobs out.

It is never improper to feed your child in public. Your breast is a milk machine for your child...it is not a sexual organ at that point.

As long as you're completely coverd, it's okay. No stickin' your boobie out there w/o something covering it. Nobody, except pervs want to see it. hypothetical: Lets say you were at a restaurant and your food was going to be ready in about ten minutes....your baby starts crying from hunger and all you do is breastfeed. If it wasn't appropriate, would you just let your child cry for the next half hour your eating, or would you feed it? nobody wants to hear a baby cry for a half an hour.

I don't think it is improper unless the woman makes a specticle of herself which I don't believe most mothers would do. They are discreet. i have seen them in airports and public places and it makes me feel like all is well with the world. That is what God meant for a woman to do. What could possibly be wrong with it?

I don't consider it improper in public. The uptight people in society consider it improper. It is a natural stage of rearing and nurturing for a baby.

I don't think it IS improper to breast feed in public, as long as you keep yourself discreetly covered. Your baby needs to eat, no matter what some prude has to say about it...and your baby comes before some whiner.

it is totally not improper. most women are very discreet. and you wouldn't even know they're nursing if you're not "looking" for it. babies have to eat when they're hungry, and breast milk is the best food for babies.
