Say you have lived in the same city and been around the same people for over 10 years. Your personality has been pretty constant, and everyone knows it very well. Some people like you and some don't like you and that's the way it's always been. Well now you decided you need to get to know some people more, and want to become friends with some of these people who 'didn't really like you' all along. How could you change thier minds about you without seeming fake and without all of a sudden changing the way you are? Or, if first impressions had never been good enough, would this be a futile effort?

Maybe not futile but, it might take a while. Do think before you speak. Do listen to others. Try not to offend. Do show interest in others - Do be kind. Do be generous. Don't be a 'know-it-all'. Don't brag. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't be jealous. Don't be mean, spiteful and sharp spoken.
After all that then, maybe invite people to social functions with you. But, don't be obsequious either. Don't 'kiss their feet'. After a while people may start to notice the change. If they don't then maybe it's they who need to change and you shouldn't care what they think anyhow.

well, I had the same feeling as you before about something and I don't want to get too specific, but ultimately there's nothing wrong with wanting to befriend your enemies. It's just that they may not feel the same, that's all. So before you do anything, try and make sure that you won't get hurt no matter the outcome. and I learned that all you can , or could really count on is your fam. The mom and pop that you have or maybe your future family, but I'm speaking from a young adult mind.

I wish. lol ALOT of people think Im who I use to be when I was little and alot of people dont like me for no reason claiming that Im the opposite of how I really am. They dont even know me! Thats another reason why I CANT WAIT to become famous. I know I shouldnt worry about what people think of me but it sure would be nice for the world and people around here to get to know the real me. They would feel like asses lol. Im a really nice person :)

you can change but why would you want to. to change to make these other people like you, say you do change for them, do you really think that they will change their mind, if they don't like you for who you are .now , forget them , just be your normal self. and people will respect you more for that, than trying to change your self because others don't like you. stay yourself. and don't worry about who likes you, they don't matter.

Just be yourself, worry only about what God thinks, and don't worry about what everyone else thinks, Your true character and integrity will show in your humility.
