"birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it,"
Republicans do it too (before marriage).

That whole republican values thing is BS. It's a big lie that the leaders of the republican party have fabricated to gain support from the religious base. It all started with Reagan, who, mind you, divorced his first wife because Nancy was two months pregnant with their illegitimate daughter. And look at all the republicans under investigation! The party leaders couldn't care less.

1 - What is the margin of error? (88% and 91% are very close figures)!

2 - Did you really expect figures much different from this?

3 - How many answerers were telling the truth? Thus, back to the margin of error!

This does not surprise this 700 year old Republican Sasquatch. In other past times, I am sure that the results were similar!

Heck, George Washington was the Father of This Country in more ways than one! Not even a Republican! ;-)

Some folks are just like a chimp with its paws over it's eyes or ears. They simply don't WANT to hear the truth, even those who probably DID have premarital sex.

We should just strap them to a table and keep forcing the Netherland's teen pregnancy statistics down their throats till they choke on them. And the Netherlands didn't use religion to accomplish it, either. They put the emphasis/shame on the pregnancy ~ NOT the sex!

People are going to have sex. Deal with it. What we should do is require people to take a test in order to get married; they obviously cannot handle relationships.

Too many couples are just too immature and lack a sufficient sense of committment, compromise, tolerance and patience. It's all ME, ME, ME.

When you hear a couple - dating, engaged or married - beginning to say things like,"my friends and her friends," or,"my money and her money," their circling the drain and just don't know it yet.

I've been happily married for 36 years, and we enjoy many shared interests and great sex, so I think I know what the **** I'm talking about......

I believe the Republican position on values has more to do with being in favor of heterosexual marriage and in favor of allowing the child who results from sex to take a breath.

It would also be interesting to see how many of those people married their premarital sex partner in the period 1940 to 1978.

The point is about taking responsibility for our choices.

Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean it's right. I bet a higher percentage have recieved speeding tickets. Point being is that one can do something they don't approve of, but that doesn't mean they think it's the right thing to do. They're just saying that it's the way things should be, not necessarily the way things are.

Huh? What Republicans are saying they don't bang before they get married? Maybe the far right Pat Robertson types, but that's a small part of the party. Maybe your just confused when we talk about values meaning one woman one man..

My Catholic Republican buddy had pre-marital sex (and filmed it), had sex while his divorce was still pending, and now has unmarried sex whenever and wherever he can find it. When I point out his hypocrisy, he claims it's okay, because he asks Jesus for forgiveness during confession. And the GOP wonders why no one buys their "values" BS anymore......
