say...whenever I post something annoying about jews its censored on this website, whenever I post something about christians, its not.
Whenever I post something that disagrees with Israel's policies or US's policies toward Israel, it immidietly gets 4 thumbs down. Is this like a feeling of self-preservation or are they just too sensitive?

David...no, that gives an 'anti-semitic' spin to the question...I should know, I know how to make analogies turn a subject on its head.
Jews are not inherently 'bad people who control and want to brainwash'...no---but they do use media to their advantage for self-preservation---what would you do? If people tlaked badly about your race or whatever and you had such power...I would do the same..
but its the over-sensitive nature by which censoring occurs....that is bad....
not only for jewish-american relations...but the 'appearance' actually worsens the perception of control and so on, which is bad PR...I think if they simply didn't care, then people would get bored...
whenever peopel sense resistance or unfair censoring, they always seek to exploit it....especially americans...jesus christ....if I were the news I would be so annoyed at the common bickering and bitching of americans....freedom of speech would be a nightmare nowadays...just look at actors and bush.

I just think its bad PR that jewish organizations stress the holocaust so badly and are so sensitive about questions about Israel-US relations...It gives an appearance of double standards (which it is)...and this causes a 'multiplier effect' in the 'rumor-speak'...
I can understand that after centuries of oppression and annoyances, they would become very prone to self-preservation...but these tendencies also cause the annoyance by the rest of the population which causes even more self-preservation...
its a vicious cycle...maybe if we just forgot about these issues, and questioned openly in an unbiased manner, maybe there would actually be MORE UNDERSTANDING.
I think strategies of containment worked well in the past, where media was media, and the world was the world...but now with the internet, the convergence of information and our aproach to the 'great awakening'....I think policy has to change---just because of the nature of how things are..
otherwise, your just going

going to have resentment against jews because the internet (the way things have 'changed' information dissemination) will simply allow different paths of alternate communication.
Whatever, I think it will naturally come to a fair outcome, now with the dissemination of information..
People will realize the unfairness of palestine, the unfairness of Israel being in the middle of a lion's den. and eventually it will converge to a fair outcome.
A holocaust would never happen. No one 'hates' the jews. Some people may disagree with Israel or the US policy, or double standards, media manipualtion, etc, etc.
But in the end, people just want an 'open' thing. Instead of a 'closed' thing. That is all, it has nothing to do with the 'jews' themselves. They are just people like everybody else.
I just think the policy of containment will not work in the future, because of the changes in world dynamics I outlined above.

In other words...the policy of containment is bad for the jews, not only for the relationship, but for the jewish PR itself. In the end, however, it will all work out.

things will become more open, questioning will go both ways...and then people will relax bettering the jewish PR image.
World dynamics calls for radical re-thinking on policy and reaction protocal to media, threats, etc.

I don't feel bad. that's something that happened outside of my time. It has nothing to do with me, what I do, my views, etc. Its just another annoyance that I perceive as a jewish exploit to pursue their agenda. I don't feel the least bit bad--it was unfortunate and a horrible part of history. But to say that in any way is MY fault....is just absolutely ridiculous..
They have to wake up to this realization and realize no one is going to persecute them. If anything, their own self-preservatio tendencies will have an adverse effect on Israel PR...that's about it.
Jews, african americans, blacks, whites, latinos, latin-americans...their all the same **** to me...the same ever-present crap of the earth...
we are all human beings, and that's that. No holocaust will happen...its nothing against these peopel or that people--we just need to rethink policies, its as simple as that.

randolph---if you feel proud of being a hypocrite because you aspire to 'high' standards then you do not understand what some of these 'high' standards mean:
I define hypocrite as someone who aspires to standards that are ridiculous....not high standards, but standards that do not make sense or have no ground in reality.
But in reality, its someone who aspires to be as saintly as a preist, but then goes back to his house and beats his wife...
These are very LOW standards and is quite despicable.
As far as insults are concerned--they are irrelevent--... I am referring to things in discussion about the holocaust and policies of Israel and US-Israeli policies of unbiased support of Israel.
If jews suspect underground jokes and concider them offhand compliments then they are paying too much undue attention to nothing--the people who make such jokes are usually low-lifes--and I would find it rather out of place to feel complimented by a joke of money from an anti-semite.

Hypocricy is nothing to be 'proud' of---
Its giving the 'appearance'....actually...not actually striving for high standards...but just giving the appearance of high standards...so you can then go behind someone's back and beat your wife.
Its those kind of standards that are not 'high' ....but rather very low---so such a concept of hypocracy doesn't make sense.
There are no 'high' standards....in conciously trying to 'appear' one way...and saying one thing, yet doing another thing..
Hypocracy, therefore, has nothing to do with high standards.

at least the person who is honest in the way he is and appears...is frank...and frankness and sincerity is something that makes such a person of a much higher standard,
then any hypocrite that merely gives the impression of acting well..
so I think you have a distorted perception of hypocracy...and I think insults can be made very insulting as far as jews are concerned...if you concider they have been enslaved for thousands of years...the holocaust...and their current problems with PR and Israel...such things cannot be 'turned into a compliment'---
jews may or may not enjoy that their ancestors were in an oven, that is beside the point...
the point is why their over-sensitivy has censored key issues of discussion such as Israeli-USA policy, etc. Which actually hurts their PR more...if such issues were more open, maybe we could reach a resolution in palestine and in Israel..Maybe its self-preservation to protect alliances and policies...but in today's world of the internet--a

You do go on and on, which guarantees that nobody will read it all.
You mention "Palestine," apparently unaware that the place ceased existing in 1948, when Israel was founded.
I suspect that fact does not make you happy, but that is perhaps because you are "over-sensitive."

Question: Why do Jews wear beanies? Answer: Because they're cheaper without the propeller.
I guess if you hear enough jokes like that, you get self concious wearing a beanie.
One day, President Bush began to doubt the intelligence briefings he received. He wanted to improve them. So he went to the Israeli Prime Minister and asked how the Mossad worked. Naturally, the Prime Minister couldn't reveal sensitive information. But he had a suggestion. He told Bush to go to a Temple, because they know everything there. Bush immediately put on his fake beard & beanie and headed off to the nearest Temple. No one except a handful of secret service knew what was happening, and even they stayed at a far distance watching. Bush put on his prayer shawl and sat down next to an elderly Jew. Bush, smiling, in his charming Texas drawl, said, "What's happening?" The elderly Jewish man looked startled, and said, "Why do you ask? Everyone knows the President's coming to visit today. Are you sure you're Jewish?"
Jews actually enjoy many "antisemitic" comments or jokes, as they're backhanded compliments. That's why Borat so easily feigns antisemitism, as he makes millions off it.
Christians are the only religious group called hypocrites. That's a backhanded compliment. Only if you have high standards can you even aspire to be a hypocrite. If your standards are low enough, you're beyond any chance of being a hypocrite, you can always meet your standards.
Caught you sneaking into church again, you hypocritical atheist? We just don't say atheists or Jews are hypocrites. Just Christians.
A man once got drunk and spent all his money on evil things. He said he was disturbed that he might be a hypocrite. He realized he wasn't meeting his high standards. So, there was no choice, he lowered his standards. Now they can't accuse him of being a hypocrite. He's an avowed bum, living up to his chosen low standards.
Some criminals kind of enjoy their evil reputation, it makes them feel tough. They really enjoy the negative comments people make about them. They want you to know they just got out of prison, so you'll be scared of them.
Jews can be like that. They'll act offended, but deep down, they like many "antisemitic" comments. Some women are like that, they act offended at some comment about their anatomy, but then when men stop making those comments, they feel slighted. They think they've lost it.
It's not oversensitivity. It's self absorbed reveling in the perceived slight, that really makes them feel superior. They invite the "negative" comments.

I do think there is a lot of double standards when it comes to many things. such as your comment about censoring anything negative toward Jews but allowing anything negative about Christians.
Here in the US the same is true for White/Black relations. African Americans can have their Black Community Leaders, their United ***** College Fund, Their Racist public comments of Chocolate City (New Orleans).
But just try to have White Community Leaders (As opposed to just cummunity Leaders of everyone), Or create a United White College Fund, Or make some racist remark when you are white, You get totally destroyed in the Media and the public community.
Ask "Kramer" or Mel Gibson. (Not that I condone what they said, but it is a double standard)
Same is true for the arguement of Seperation of Church and State. Especially in these Times of Fundamental Islamic Terrorism.
I know that not all Muslims are terrorists or even supporters of terrorists. But we have to bend over backwards to avoid hurting their fragile sensibilities and be "politically aware" of Islam and muslims. Yet at the same time it seems to be a mortal sin for a student to pray while at school or for a statue of the Ten Commandments to be put on a courthouse property. Even though every US coin has the words "In God We Trust" on them.
As far as Jews being Sensitive. How would you feel if your people were nearly exterminated do to some fanatical lunatic and most the world just stood by and ignored it for the most part. Remember WW 2 was not fought on behalf of the Jews. it was about repulsing Hitlers Germany from taking over the world. The Atrocities against the Jews were not widely known until Allied troops stated overrunning some of the camps and saw first hand what happened. Before that, most of the info about what was happening was treated as rumor and propoganda.
Are they Oversensitive? I think Not.
But do they (The political state of Israel, Not Jews in General)exploit others sensitivities and guilt over WW2 to their political advantage? You Betcha.

I agree completely. People are over-sensitive to the slightest hint of Anti-Semitism, to the point where one simply can't even say anything against Israel, or they're labeled as some overly racist freak.
Somehow, I think it's all about perception; remember, Jews, and pro-Israel people, are in control of the media, and thus they exaggerate the news to suit their own beliefs and interests.
