No... they might want to, but I don't think the "majority" actually do, at least when they are mature.
I do however see that most of the men I have dated become very controlling and possessive.

Yes, it's well documented that most men cheat. Women cheat, too, but men are wired for it. Men think about sex about 500 times more frequently than women, not just because they're a bunch of horny goats (though we are that, too), but because it's nature. The survival of a species depends on reproduction, and women can only experience one pregnancy at a time, while a man could potentially impregnate many women simultaneously. Few species in the animal kingdom practice protracted monogamy. Men often cheat even if they genuinely love their partner - without knowing why they did.

I think both men and women cheat - it just depends on the person. Now LYING on the other hand... uh, yeah. I believe that's a trait carried on the Y chromosome. :)
