there was a conspiracy that stated that hiei and kurama were lovers. when the creator was asked, he said that wasn't his intent (but he didn't seem to dislike the idea XD) hiei really cares mostly about his sister, yukina. however, at the end of the series, he meets the ruler (a woman) of the demon world, muruko, and some think that if the series went on they might have become lovers.
