we're doing a secret santa. i picked someone i totally dislike. wat do i do?

And that, my friend, is the number one reason why the whole "secret santa" game is LAME! I hated doing that stuff; I always tried to opt out. Blowing money on a cheap, useless gift for some person who is practically a stranger because you only work on the same shift as them like once every 3 weeks or something...Gee, what fun!
But since you've been dragged into it, you have two choices:
1. Do what FEELS GOOD and buy them a cheap gift certificate for something that totally sucks, like Big Al's Garden Gnome Emporium, underwater basket-weaving lessons, or a run-down restaurant that serves really nasty food.
OR
2. Do the RIGHT thing and remember that you're a much better person that this prick and just because they are a useless, ignorant, inbred turd doesn't mean that you have to stoop to their level...and then go buy them a decent gift that doesn't suck (much).

You agreed to do Secret Santa - you can't back out now. You might be able to get someone to trade with you. Otherwise you'll just have to buy the gifts. Just don't make them too spectacular.

I have had this happen too! I used the survey that we filled out and did my thing! Guess what, I found things that I liked about the person and ended up with a better relationship as a result. You will be glad you did and might even find out you like that person better than you thought!

christmas time is about giving...we all have to do things we dislike..but some extra effort into this year for this person..maybe the experience could have a different outcome...im sure this person will appreciate whatever you buy or do for them..merry chrismtas

ok first check with their closest friends to see what they like
or you can do it the easy way and get them a stuffed animal with a bow around the neck or some other trinket like that
trust me option 2 always works
