I do, actually, 9 (although technically my right thumb just presses the space button and my left thumb does actually nothing).
For computer class in elementary school, our teacher actually forced us into practicing to type with two hands and use a typing software, so that's why....-.-;

I try to type using the home key positions and all fingers, but I have to watch where I put my fingers or I end up hitting the wrong keys. As it is, I frequently hit 2 keys at once and have a lot of typos-my sister calls this "fat finger syndrome". The backspace key is the most used on my keyboard and I have to do a lot of editing and corrections before I submit any post.

I type with something like 5 fingers, my methods' really weird but it works! I've been typing for so long it's just one of those things that developed over time.

I am now questioning the way I type. I type using only my two middle fingers, that's so weird.

Anyone taught to type correctly uses all of them, including the thumbs. Yep, I do that. Taught on an old manual typewriter in the late 1970's, the old fashioned way.
