At three months old you should let them sleep whenever they want. Don't worry about a solid schedule until between 9 months and a year.

Suprisingly, some babies do not need as much sleep at each nap. However, they still need the same number of naps as every other baby their age. It all depends on the baby. You don't want to force a schedule on your baby at this age, but if your baby naturally came to a schedule let him be! My first did this. She also slept like 3 two hour naps and almost 11 hours at night (while on breastmilk). Second only takes 2 naps. First is 2 hours. Second is one hour and then to bed at 5:30 until 7 the next morning with 2-3 feedings throught the night (while on breastmilk). If the baby wakes happily then you are okay. If not try to read up on changing things so that his sleep is more appropriate to him.

I have an almost 3month old. She takes naps throughout the day but only for about 30min at a time. If I'm wearing her in the baby carrier she can sleep for over an hour. I say she takes about 3 -4 naps a day. Babies sleep whenever they need to.

Three month olds are on their own schedule, and you're on their schedule too, at least until they are around a year old until you can get them on an actual schedule. This usually corresponds with them getting off of formula. Sleep time and eating time also correspond with one another. Their body is automatically defaulted to eat every 2 to 21/2 hours. Naps are usually that long until they are ready to eat again.
Good Luck

It's really up to the baby, you should never wake a sleeping baby and your baby will naturaly take naps. They will sleep most of the day. They are pretty much up for feeding and that's it, they are back to sleep again. That's the nice stage.

Should be sleeping more than he is awake. Up an hour, down2, and so on. That is how my 2 boys always slept until they were about 6 months old.

babies are the most mysterious being in the world..even doctors cant explain their sleeping habit..it is normal if they often change sleeping habit or sleeps long or short..wakes up every hour or after 4 hours..just make sure that you're feeding them properly..the recommended feeding habit is after 3-4 hours how many ounce..well it depends to the capacity of the child..just dont overfeed them.
