they were originally signed to a christian label, but much like a bunch of other rock groups, they moved to general rock after making a name for themselves on the christian label.

They are far from a Christian Rock Act. Listen to the Dysfunction album to hear the real Staind. They are Hard Rock for sure. Emo? Are you kidding me?

They are a hard rock group. The christian band you're thinking of is Creed. Sorry to dissapoint ya.

I think they are just a rock group. I saw them play on some tour, i think it was the Anger Management tour years ago, they played with Primus, so I dont think that they are a christian band.
