Registered Nurse here; No this is not unusual. Anything in direct contact with the clitoris, such as: Sanitary napkin, can and does cause sexual arousal. I've even had patients tell me climbing stairs will sometimes achieve the same results. No need to be embarrassed, admire your courage for wanting to know about your body. Your perfectly normal. Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!

I am right there with you. I will not wear certain pants or underwear during that time of the month because of this reason. I don't want to be walking into class (I am in college) and getting all excited. Don't worry it is normal. The only thing I could suggest is don't wear pants that are tight in your private area and maybe it will minimize this for you. Good luck.

I myself have not experienced this, but I can see why it may occur. If the pad is in contact with your clitoris, and pushing or rubbing against it then of course you could become aroused. If you put anything against your clit you would get the same result... Hey look on the bright side... It makes "that time of month" alot more enjoyable !!!!!! :)

Y'know, I never used them - but I could never understand how people didnt get stimulated from them. There are certain pants that I have to avoid for same reason, it only makes sense.

it's because of the friction, especially from the material used for the cover of the pad. i don't think you are alone.
