ps3 or the wii?

should i buy the ps3 or the wii? i'm gonna buy at february and i don't know what to buy

First, availability still might be a problem months after the holiday season. The PS3 will be more likeley to be out of stock than the Wii.

I am personally getting a Wii. It looks awesome, fun, and social. The PS3 is still an unknown quantity. It might suceed, it might fail. And if it fails (a.k.a. the Xbox 360 dominates) then I don't want to be stuck with $600 of nothing.

In short, Wii next year. PS3 in 2008 (after a couple of price-drops)

Its a toss up. By February the PS3 should have most if not all the glitches gone, as well as the Wii. Personally, Im getting both, but if I had to choose one, id pick the PS3.

PS3 -
Graphically better then the Wii by alot.
There are alot better games, and game selection.
(Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto...etc.)
It has blue ray technology which is the next generation.
Controller is PS2 style with motion sensor.

Wii -
Made mostly for kiddish games, though it has a few good titles.
(Red Steel, Smash Bros....etc. Though it has mario, I personally don't like it."
It has a revolutionary controller. Full motion sensored and unlike any other controller. Few buttons, easy to use, very fun.
Graphics a slightly better then the Gamecube, but nothing compared to PS3.
It has a new download feature for older games. Some are not supported right now, but they are working on it.
It is half the price of the PS3.


Personally, I would get the PS3 over the Wii. Way higher game selection, way better graphics, but a twice as much. But, its your choice.

Almost everyone asks this question. I think that the wii beats the ps3 by a long shot. It may not have HD graphics, but the game play is awsome. It is also half the price of the ps3. I definitely recommend the wii

honestly man... I used to want PS3 more than Wii.. but now after so many disappointment from Sony, I have settled for Wii.
This is why I kinda hate PS3 now...
1. Sony makes me angry by releasing a console that is substandard to its promise. I hate the way that the bluetooth controller suddenly disconnected in the middle of the game.

2. I hate the way that PS3 will downgrade its graphic to 480 p if you have older version of HDTV (eventhough your HDTV have 1080i). This forces people to spend thousand bucks more to buy True HDTV. Xbox 360 doesn't downgrade the graphic but instead will scale it up to 1080.

3. PS3 also been reported to have many glitches.

GAHH!!!! The only things that make me still reconsider of buying one is just MGS4 and FF13.

I have wii already and I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY loving IT!!!!!

It really depends what you like more. But if you are looking for price then the Wii is way cheaper. But if you are looking for incredible graphics then go for the PS3. I personally love my Wii because I am a loyal Nintendo fan and the game are awesome. So I don't know.... just go with your heart.

There are pros and cons for each. For PS3 its hidef and has a blue ray disc which is really nice but its a pricey gaming system at $700 (or a really cheap blue ray player)and you need a newer TV to notice the high def. The wii has a sweet controller setup and a cool internet feature which are fun to use and its cheaper at $250 but it doesnt have any DVD or blue ray capabilities and the graphics arent nearly as good as PS3. Personally i would go for the wii just cos its cheaper and its still fun but it depends on your budget and the kind of games you play, if you prefer nintendo games definately go for the wii.

but i know u only have enuff money for 1,then i suggest u buy wii.wii evolved the way of playing v'games and i wolud like to try it.....whereas ps3 is not very bad,but apart of the high price,ps3 may have some software problem like what happened to ps2 in the early days of the release...

actually its not anyones decision on what you think is better. but i would say the ps3. all the critics say its better than the 360 and the wii.. but it is ur choice. all of the people say ps3 have better graphics. the wii looks more fun to play and is "VIRTUALLY" better

id go w/ the Wii im a diehard playstation fan but i heard about some guy that got shot over a PS3 then again every1 completely 4got about the X-Box 360 tho...
