Are all CyberHome products garbage?

I read another user's question regarding the DVR 1200. Mine has a hum in the background of anything I record. Any ideas how to get rid of this? If the patent thing wasn't their only problem no wonder they went out of business.

They are cheap and you can find hack for macro protection and all region dvd. The hum is most likely cause by the cheap power supply in your player. There's nothing you can do unless you know how to replace it.
