I am an Indian girl living in Mumbai, i met him while he was travelling through the country. After we met he stayed in town, and our friendship grew.

Is there anyway to talk to your dad about this. Is there any way to change his mind? You need to put a lot of thought into whatever you decide. Basically you are going to have to choose between this new guy and your family. Good luck.

This is a tough one. What nationality are you. If you run away will you be able to come back? Do you parents even know you met this boy from austrailia? When is your impending marriage? Can you talk to your mother? If you have some time you need to think this out and make a plan. Where will you live? How will you support yourself? Will you be living with this boy and if that happens and if for some reason you breakup would your family take you back after living with a guy that you are not married to. The boy from Australia may want something from you that you are not prepared to give.
Do you have a relative or friend you could move in with and start supporting yourself while still dating this boy.
This could change your life with your family forever and it isn't a decsion you want to make in a hurry. Your father can't actually force you to marry this boy. I know your father; can intmidate and make things uncomfortable for you if you choose not to, that is why I suggested to find a safe place to stay once you tell him no.
Please think about this and take your time and think about all the implications that may come with your choices. This may or may not work with the boy from Austrailia and are you willing to give up your family for the chance.

I don't know what your back ground is, or how old you are. So, I would have to advise you not to run off and get married. The boy could leave you stranded and you could get disowned by your family and they would not take you back. Where as the arranged marriage you are sure to keep your family, and the man has already agreed to take care of you.

uve got a problem! your father has a probably good intentions why he wants your marriage to be fixed. but not all the time parents are correct! but, what if eloping with the boy you think you luv wouldnt work out in the end? what would happen to you then? ofcourse you'll go back straight to your fathers house. or try another scene, what if he luks for you and finds you?? you have no choice but to come back ryt? you hav a decision to make and both has pros and cons. i suggest you tink it over...

are you sure u want to give up ur family for a boy ? what if he leaves u or cheats on u ? how do u go back home and face ur family ? think about this maybe the man they fixed u up with isn't so bad ..if he is u can always leave him , but running aways from ur family i don't know ...but u'll miss them and don't forget the embarrassment u will coz ur family .

i dnt think it right 4 u father 2 b choose who ur gunna marry. thats nt right! but also u have 2 realize that its not cool 2 just run away from ur problems. so the 3 of you need 2 get 2gether n talk
