No. Take it from a teacher. A card is just fine. If you really need to buy a gift get something for the classroom. Something the teacher can use with the kids... arts and craft supplies, books, gift cert. to an educational supply store.

Yes! It would be a very nice thing to do! Give the teacher something inexpensive, but nice. Like a plate of brownies, or cookies. Or give them a Christmas mug with a little bag of hot cocoa or coffee and a candy cane!

it would be nice, I gave one to my 3yr old teacher today and she was so happy.. it was just a nice box of chocolates and a card that said thank you..most of the parents gave her a gift card.. so if your happy with the work she's doing with your son than this is a good time to let her know..my cost was only 10$. but the smile on her face was priceless.

No just a card and a thank you note is customary until they get old enough to start demanding a gift for thier teacher....

yes,as a token of respect,u've to give holiday gift to his teacher.but money here is immaterial,u just buy a simple gift w'd do.

it would be a good idea..like said before, do you like the teacher? either way it would be respectful to give a little something.
I've always given little pre-made gift baskets/gift sets from stores(under $10) all throughout the elementary school years.

my sons teacher loved the candle we sent her .She said she gets things like apples and pics?but the candle was something diffrent and somethinh she can use.
