Here are the values listed at http://nadaguides.com for the XLCH
Excellent: $6175
Very Good: $4600
Good: $3100
Fair: $2500
Poor: $1900
If yours is a XLH instead of XLCH just subtract $100 from each of the values.
Note: These values are for retail transactions in central USA.

there were 2 models of sportsters built in that year. the XLH and the XLCH models. of the 2, the XLCH model would be worth more. kelly's blue book suggests a possible $3810 for the XLCH, and $2990 for the XLH. both bikes were 1000cc's. the '75 super glides would be worth more blue book wise. any bike properly cared for will last a long time...amf days or no amf days. used market value for all harley's has gone down a bit since the '07's hit the floor.

Depends on the condition and if it's custom. I sold just a title for a Harley once for $750. You probably can get between $2000 and $3000 if it starts.

Not much, you bike was built during the time AMF owned Harley, and the bikers made during that period have a bad reputation for breaking down and being unreliable.
New it cost (if I remember right) around 5,000 to 6,000 dollars so I imagine you can most likely sell it for half that.
