This one girl has been trying to frame me and has thus far been successful, well since the beginning of this month. I received a phone call from another girl threatening me that they are going to the police and I didn't do anything. If she has not called me back does that mean they finally traced all the "harrassing" emails (which I also received) to the real source? The girl trying to frame me! My anger is more directed at the girl making up these things and I wanted nothing to do with it. Its making me upset because she continues to talk behind my back. When will they find out? I have integrity and to see my reputation go down based on lies is making me paranoid.

well they always say that you are innocent unless proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. unfortunately, some poeple love to believe rumors. only two things you can do: 1) stay silent and let the truth come out for you eventually. 2) confront the girl who is trying to frame you.

i'd go for #1. nothing you can do about the girl who is trying to frame you. she will just continue to do it even more if she finds out that she is successful in getting on your nerves. besides if you are really a good person and people know you for it, no matter what your detractors say about you; your good reputation will still save you in the end.

It's really kind of hard to advise without knowing some particulars. It depends what they are saying ... there are legal remedies for libel or slander. Either of which involves saying (to another person) or publishing things about persons that are not true and which a reasonable person would find embarassing or despicable.

That's a pretty simple way to say it but it does give you an idea. One way to defend against it is to turn in a police report about "harassing phone calls". This way you are record for trying to stop being harassed.

There is always going to an attorney. Like I say lots of possibilities but so little facts to go on. Good luck, honey.

Try getting ahold of the place (yahoo? where ever) and explain the situation to them. They should be able to help, including deleting the person sending those emails. Just be honest with anyone that is connected to this and tell them that you didn't do it. Good Luck.
