The movie is well done. Keep in mind, however, that it is sheer fiction, for entertainment value only.

I read the book and saw the movie. In order to understand the movie, you have to have a little knowledge of the background. There are a lot of codes. Even though the book was more poignant and thorough. I really enjoyed the movie. And I strongly urge you to go and see it. It's thought provoking and does have substance and a lot of mysteries. Whether there's veracity to the various propositions is another story. It's very controversial just like the Passion of Christ.

Is there graft and corruption and deception within the mother church in Rome? Is it possible to have a female leader? What's the true role of Mary Magdalene? I'm treading lightly on this to avoid spilling the beans if you haven't seen it.

Some of the stances does reflect in the history of the christian religion. However, I empathically disagree with the author that Jesus Christ is not God.

The movie was as good as the book. Usually the book is better than the movie, or the movie is better than the book. For The Davinci Code both were entertaining.

It was just okay. I like the book so much better, however, the book Angels and Demons was even better than that. I'd say, read the DaVinci Code and then Angels and Demons, because that one is more exciting to me. Dan Brown's Deception Point is also a very good book, different characters though.

Funny, I just saw it last night. I enjoyed most of it , but there were some moments when I wondered why I was there. There is a lot of speculation about things that I have no clue as to whether they are right or not.

It has some moments that are rather grisly and sadistic, too.

However, on the whole, not a bad movie.

Makes good sense, and a beautiful movie to watch over Christmas under a warm blanket.

I thought the movie was better than the book, but that's not saying much. I wasn't impressed with the writing of the book. I thought the movie was also "less contraversial" than the book. I won't go to the effort to see it again and wouldn't feel cheated if I had missed it.

It is good
It stars Jean Reno, one of my personal favorite actors of all time.
It is of course a work of fiction but it does contain some accurate little known information and assertions about the Vatican and the Catholic church.
It is a plausible scenario but I certainly wouldn't let it alter your current belief in any way.
