just use system restore go back as far as you can, any updates that you had will be deleted and any changes that you made will be deleted also, in fact if you roll back your computer six month's then your computer should be restored as it was six months ago, once the restore has completed it's task you then can re-install all the necessary up-dates for your computer.
there are a few times though when you use the restore function the computer will say window's could not restore your computer no change's were made, please choose another date to restore your computer. lets hope this is not the case. good luck

Go into Start, then All Programmes and then into Accessories then into tools and finally into system restore. Of course, you will have to have a history going back 6 months in order to reset to that time.

save the stuff that you need . then go to restore , click on create new restore point, type in the date and then click next . then go to home , you should then see the new restore piont in the box on the right side of the screen click on that date and then it should restore you pc back to the date that you set. do not for get to save your stuff, if nothing happen and it can not do it you can do an unrestore as well which will put it back to where you started from

You can go to Accessories, System Tools, Restore and roll-back your system to six months ago. This will set back many of your settings, but not all. The only surefire way is to restore your entire computer from a back-up taken six months ago. Either way, good luck.

You will have to uninstall, and reinstall your antivirus software after System Restore, because it will be all screwed up. Just because the virus definition date will be a future date during your next startup.
