You have to call yur local housing and see.

You are trying to find out where you are on the list? you need to call the local Housing and Redevelopment office. You have to apply to them and then wait for your name to come up. It can take weeks, months, years but, they should always be able to tell you where you are on the list. you have the right to know. you also can sign up for Section 8 housing through the town or city in most areas also. The county and the city and then some Apt. complexes have Rental Assistance through Rural Development...which is different and you would need to call them and ask about housing in your area that has assistance available and apply directly with the complex. Hope this helps. i managed for 10 yrs. It's complicated and they don't always tell you your rights up front. Some big secret....lol good luck.

I was just doing some looking myself for my sister in law. I just went to google and put in do I qualify for section 8 housing and I got all the answers I needed or she needed. I found that the availability varies with different states. You can find phone numbers for any city and state gl hope it works out for you
