You failed to mention how long, and what his and your dispositions are. (never married? married? divorced? how long? etc...) These help to guide a more informed answer.
He may be a good guy, but I won't blatantly tell you yes.
Ask a few trusted family members.
That is the BEST litmus test to finding out if you should meet somebody off the internet. It allows others to look out for you from angles of perception that you may be a little too excited to notice, or overlook for various reasons.
I always say chat for a minimum of 3 months. That gives you both time to get bored, irritated, or otherwise eliminated from meeting which would in the end save you A LOT of grief.
Whatever ya do, be careful.

i have done alot of online datng myself ,but i had met 4 guys through this dating site dating . first make sure that friends, and relatives know where you will be since this is your first date with him it's better to be safe than sorry .second arrange to meet him at some place where people are like a resturant for example. thirddont let him know where you live at first cause you really dont know him very well yet . forth listen to some of his questions, and answers and take your time getting to know him if for any reason you dont feel comfortable with this date i would end the date and and call someone to come to meet you and follow you home safely. good luck and have fun
