I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I met someone online and he asked me out this weekend too. I'm very nervous about our meeting. He seems like a real nice guy. The only advice I can give to you, is relax, go slow and make him work for anything you give him. Take deep breaths and have fun, just not too much fun :)

Make sure you meet in a public place, and I hope he doesn't already know where you live. Give it some time to get to know him face-to-face. Thus far, he has only told you what you want to hear, none of the bad stuff we all have. Just look at him objectively, and if any red flags come up, listen to them and run.

play it safe - give a friend his pic, email address, etc., along with time and place you're meeting - also call them an hour into it to let them know you are okay. above all, have fun! go to a local coffee shop, go see a live band, or go for a walk in a public area (for starters!).

PLEASE be VERY CAREFUL and go to a public place and if you get that woman's intuition that is your cue to get out . GOD didn't give us women that gift for nothing.
