Be careful on meeting new people from the internet because they can trick you on pretending to be someone they are not. Make sure a family or friend knows who you'll be with, give them the guy's number just in case. Or meet at a familir area you know and that it's very public so you'll be in a more safer environment. Be careful hun!

Don't automatically trust someone from the internet. This guy could be wooing you to commit a crime whether that be robbery, rape, murder or something else or maybe a combination of those things.
If you're going to meet him though, meet in a public spot like a shopping mall. You want someone else to be able to give a good description of him if, all of a sudden, you're missing and don't return from this meeting.
Before you go, make sure someone like a best friend knows details about him such as his email address which can be given to police to track him down for questioning.
The point of all this is so you don't turn into the top news story of the day with a headline like "womens body found raped and murdered, ID unknown".

I recommend bringing a friend with you or having two friends join you and maybe not tell him. This way they can make sure its safe, follow behind you, and watch from the bar. You don't want to go and find out hes someone else and get in danger without others there. Just be safe keep it simple to a meeting in a public place and don't go anywhere alone with him on the first date.

have a friend call you 5-10 minutes after your scheduled meeting time and then again 30 minutes after and then again 60 minutes after to make sure you are ok and safe also let someone know where you are and when they should expect you back . Text message his car make and model and tag # to your "Call me friend" if you get in his car
Just an internet-meeeting precaution I'd say the same thing if he was white yellow or purple
