I think a gift from Harrod's (Knightsbridge) would be nice, 'cause it's so famous. Try to get something with the Harrod's label on it. Or, maybe a Paddington Bear? They have a little stand that sells PB stuff right in Paddington Station.
Good luck!

I was in London last winter and did a good amount of my Christmas shopping in London. Since I don't know who you are buying for or what your price range is, I would say Harrod's is a good place to look, but it's quite pricy. It also depends upon if you want just a normal gift or something distinctly British. King's Road is a good place to see a lot of different shops and types of gifts.

I am an American, just returned from a trip to London. I really love the watercolor paintings of London, like Big Bend and such. Also, tea or a UK bear would be good. I would not choose clothes or food though. I brought back handbags for my sisters, magnets and mugs as well.

Not sure what your asking but a little advice. No matter what you send and how expensive it is, on the papers you fill out to send it at the post office put the value of what ever it is at 5 dollars. The u.s. government will ask the receiving party to pay tax on the stuff above a certain value. It would suck to receive a gift then a couple days later a friggen bill for the tax due from the u.s. government.

Are you in London? Definitely something great that London is known for that you cannot get in the U.S.; maybe a certain dessert y'all like to eat that we don't have on our menus that you can dry freeze ship. If it is ordered online, they'll ship it this way for you.

Also, how much can you spend on this U.S. person? I know I would kill for some designer stuff that you can get WAY cheaper over there. Like, Diesel clothing.

For me? The only thing I would like is my Welsh Prince to come visit me. He is the true gift from the Uk.
