I am 31 years old and interested in pursuing an MBA. I will only enroll if I am accepted to a very well regarded school. Are my chances of being accepted degraded because of my age?

I got into NYU/Stern at 38. I was one of the oldest, but I would say you are in the middle 80% of the students.

I got into Duke's MBA program at age 43 -- so 31 is not too old.

The average age for the top MBA programs is 28. At 31 or 32, you would be one of the older students, but not by much.

I dont think your age will be an issue, if it is that is considered discrimination. Go for it and good luck
