1. Macbeth is introduced as a warrior hero which is crucial to the play, for tragedy depends on our witnessing the downfall of an already great man.

2. The lines “When the battle’s lost and won” and “Fair is foul and foul is fair” are the most significant in the scene. On the one hand, these contradictory statements are the kind of riddles we would expect from witches; on the other, the lines suggest a paradox that runs throughout the play: Life frequently presents a confused picture of events in which discerning truth from falsehood is difficult.

1. The warrior-thing is good.
He is also pretty gullible and easily convinced of things - he believes what the witches say in Act 1 and then is pretty much like Lady Macbeth's puppet later.
He is also ambitious. He wants to be a leader. He is excited by the idea, not afraid. He will take action to become a more powerful leader.

2. The fair is foul thing is also good.
If I recall, there is also some twisting-turning imagery there (maybe it was the fair is foul and foul is fair bit) - there seems to be a lot of things being "rapt" and twisted.
The fact that there are witches adds an element of the supernatural and brings in the question of predestination and fate.

the main intense scenes in my opinion would be: woman Macbeth's "out-damned spot" scene Witches prophesying over Macbeth and Banquo And the very final scene whilst Macbeth is defeated through MacDuff
