I am sorry to say this, but you better be prepared.I have had many hamsters and my personal opinion is that hamsters get sick from nowhere and die really fast.I cried so many times....each time i have lost one of them. Then i just realized that the hamster is an awesome animal, but not right for a pet.I didnt have the energy and the hearth to lose a pet once again,so since then I havent had any hamsters.
Be ready for that - he probably will die.So sorry, hope I'm wrong.

I think those people answering the questions don't know what they're talking about, because I don't think your hamster is depressed at all. Usually hamsters arent depressed when they live in a big cage like yours. Your hamster is just acting like his own way. I have 7 hamsters, and they all act different, and one of mine is acting like yours, so I don't think anything is wrong with your hamster. And it's winter, if it's cold in your house, it's normal that he's not moving. Usually male hamsters don't like to play during winter since it's too cold. Trust me, I know. But if you want to make sure what's going on, take him to a Vet or Pet Store, hope everything goes well though.

I feel the ones individuals answering the questions do not know what they are speaking approximately, due to the fact that I do not feel your hamster is depressed in any respect. Usually hamsters arent depressed once they reside in a significant cage like yours. Your hamster is solely performing like his possess manner. I have 7 hamsters, and so they all act extraordinary, and one among mine is performing like yours, so I do not feel whatever is improper along with your hamster. And it is wintry weather, if it is bloodless to your condominium, it is usual that he is now not relocating. Usually male hamsters do not love to play for the period of wintry weather considering it is too bloodless. Trust me, I recognize. But should you wish to ensure what is going on, take him to a Vet or Pet Store, desire the whole thing is going good despite the fact that.

Well, I am very sad to say it, but, my hamster was just like this...before it died. I am very sorry. I hope it will be okay. Do everything you can to help it. :(
Here is how it happened:
One day, I was re-orgining my closet, when I looked in my hamster cage. I didn't see anything. I thought it ran off. But, after i looked, i realized, it was in its cage. Hard as stone. Eye closed shut forever. It was kind of scary. And, believe it or not, mine was a dwarf hamster. I am again very sorry this is happening.

If he is older than 2, he is probably old. Hamsters can get depressed but as long as he has treats, toys, tubes, and a wheel its rare.
Just don't put another hamster in there....they will fight all time time. They have to be purchased together.

Is it a boy hamster or a girl hamster. I'm not trying to be funny or anything like that but maybe if you got it a mate (boy for girl, girl for boy) maybe your hamster will cheer up. I'm just trying to help.

He might be sick, maybe just getting old. How old is he? A year? Sorry, but I don't think hamsters really get mad at people... I hope everything turns out okay...

Now, I'm no vet, but I think he needs to see a vet. A vet will know. Unless there's a vet at Yahoo right now and even a vet will say, "go see a vet" Have I said "vet" enough?

he may be dying, or lonely &neglected feeling.
see if he is crying or if his nose is running and if it is, theres not much more that you can do other than take him to a vet. [cha ching $$]
perhaps he would like a lady friend? haha

It's not your fault, sometimes they get a germ which gives them wet tail which makes them very tired and sick.
