I went to OU!! What a great school :) You've made a great choice. Here is the info from their website www.ohiou.edu about the AVERAGE freshman incoming student:

Freshman Class Profile
(Fall 2005 middle 50 percent range)

High school class rank:
-- top 15-46%
Composite ACT:
-- 21-25
Combined SAT:
-- 990-1190
Average GPA:
-- 3.4 (4.0 scale)

However, don't let this discourage you if your GPA is not so high. They DO consider other factors in the decision process, ie community service, activities, essay, and personal interview. I actually got accepted early, after my junior year. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!! I hope you get in, and if you have any questions about the school in general feel free to email me rnrhoney@gmail.com. I'd be happy to answer anything I can.

Take care, Andrea in NJ

Not really hard, I don't know what they consider before the accept you, but GPA is only one of the factor not the only. I know I have a friend that had really low GPA and he didn't find any trouble entering the college. However you might want to be impressive. work on your application essay, that's the chance to really make yourself noticed among the others.
Good Luck

Are you talking about Ohio University or Ohio State University?

The former (OU) accepts 79% of applicants, according to the Fiske Guide to Colleges so... it isn't too hard to get into.

Ohio State University accepts 72% of applicants so it, too, is not too hard to get into.

To put it in perspective, somewhere like Williams College accepts about 17% of applicants (top-ranked liberal arts school in the country) and somewhere like Princeton accepts about 13% of applicants.
