I get a disk 0 failure error while attempting to boot the win xp laptop. Bestbuy seems to be charging ~$150 and I'm looking for other possible options. Thanks!

Most laptops today have user removable hard drives. they just plug into the laptop. Locate the compartment take off the cover and pull it out. You can then buy a new hard drive and and plug it back in.

Look in the phone book for someone local. Stay away from the chain stores. Just got a laptop back from one of the big name places. They were just supposed to replace the fan. It took them three weeks. They replaced the motherboard, wiped the hard drive, and didn't replace the fan. Didn't get the hard drive backed up because they were just supposed to replace the fan.
