In a recent news article, President Bush made the following remarks concerning the escalation the numbers of troops to be sent in the Iraq War:

["Bush was unwavering about U.S. goals for Iraq.

"Victory in Iraq is achievable," he said. "It hadn't happened nearly as quickly as I hoped it would have. ...

"But I also don't believe most Americans want us just to get out now," the president said. "A lot of Americans understand the consequences of defeat. Retreat would embolden radicals. It would hurt the credibility of the United States." ]

Now and completely.

Does your President really care....No. He hired Bill Gates to carry on his mission impossible (for oil).

It's pretty evident the leaders don't care about the voters' wishes.

What do you plan to do about it? Nevermind.

Osama Bin Laden is a product of a country that the U.S. tried to help defend against Communist Russia back in the 80's, if I remember right. However, the U.S. pulled out after awhile, and left the people of that country holding the bag, and facing the wrath of their enemies. Many people got killed, and the government or people never learned from their mistakes. In fact, giving anything to them, weapons or money, seems to be a mistake on the part of the U.S. I believe that the government now is trying to avoid repeating history, trying to change the people there as much as they can. However, I'm not so sure that the people can be changed.

Personally, I wish the troops could come back tomorrow. However, at the same time I wonder if the results, at least in the long run, could hurt the U.S. I'm not really sure what the best answer is, except to bring them out gradually while trying to cement a good relationship with the people who will rule, and hope that they stay in power.

not going to happen for a while. Of course everyone would like to see them come home tomorrow,.. this admin messed up so bad in Iraq I dont think its achievable. The best way would be to take out as many insurgents as possible and really strengthen the iraqis to fight in the future.

The only way I would like to see us out SOON, is to make the region understand that WE are the guys with the big guns and the big business, and that they WILL do it our way. Quit playing political games and sensitivity training, KICK ***, and come home knowing that Iran and Syria will not dare cross us.

They should be pulled out slowly, allowing the iraqi leaders to ween themselves toward total control. "for every action there is a reaction", who knows what will happen if we pull the troops out to soon, or to quickly.

Without allies we are trapped, getting slaughtered if we stay, and if we pull out ,even greater chaos. USA has been cocky, and arrogant and has gotten into a situation, its damned if you do and dammed if you don;t. The world needs negotiaters and more especially the good ol' USA.
