On Dec 16, 2006 at Perth Australia the Australian wicket keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist scored second fastest hundred in the history of test cricket when he came on to bat after tea and took all the English bowlers on sword. His 57 ball hundred included 12 fours and four huge sixers. He scored 24 runs of a single over from Monty Panesar creating a new ashes record for most number of runs scored in an over. When he was virtually murdering all the english bowlers he also broke the ashes record of fastest fifty set by Graham Thorpe of England.
