Perhaps, but one need not be ashamed of their race.

However if a person has distinct dominant features as well as skin tomes, prominent to a particular race, "passing" might be difficult inthat people would make thier own judgement on that.

I've had biracial friends who could pass as white.

There's a whole bunch of other issues that come up with that, such as why would you want to, what are the benefits and drawbacks to a decision to pass, etc etc. But that wasn't your question so I stick with my answer above. :)

I am bi-racial, and even though I am very open with my ethnicity, most people cannot tell that I am half black. Most people think that I am white or just think I "have some indian in me", which I do, but I think it's funny that people are so astonished when I tell them I am not white. I lived in GA most of my life, and I had alot of people tell really racist jokes around me or even to me. Boy were they shocked when I told them about myself!

Yes, of course, some mulattos look very white and some look very black. Blacks often try to claim all mulattos are black, but that is just because they are racist and ignorant. Mulattos are neither white nor black, they are bi-racial.

Yeah right my friend mixed tried that and went up to our white teacher and said I'm white to the teacher he looked at her like she was crazy! I could not stop laughing. They are considered black any mixed person who tries to pass off them selves as white when they especially don't look it are going to get shut down real fast.
