Mostly if it's an artist I like...if it's someone I don't usually listen to, I like the beat of the music (for example, I don't listen to Justin Timberlake but for some reason, I really like "Sexy Back!")

it would mostly be the artist or the lyrics i think. cuz alot of times a song needs to relate to me for me to listen to it. and if i hear a Drake Bell song and ive never heard it b4 i know im gonna like it.
but yeah some songs i like from an artist i usually dont listen to..like a few songs from Black Eyed Peas are ok but i generally dont like them.
this was a hard question because its the whole package (everything together) can make or break the quality of the song.

The beat is a huge factor! Some songs you can really dance to or it makes you want to move. Also if I can relate personally to the song then I tend to like it.
