Do you mean "haunting"?

If so... *spoilers*

Definitely Poltergeist. I saw it when I was a young child and it terrified me to the point of being unable to sleep with my bed under a window. I was deathly afraid that a tree was going to eat me.

To this day, I still have trouble falling asleep on a bed that is situated under a window.

Silver Bullet.

It's based off a Stephen King novelette, "Cycle of the Werewolf". It's got Gary Busey and Corey Haim in it. My Mom showed it to me when I was around 10, and it scared me like never before.

Several months ago I was able to buy it on DVD, and it scared me all over again. I work for CN as a railway conductor, and I shuddered every time I had to work at night in remote locations. Then again (sort of spoiler alert), the first victim of the werewolf is a railroad worker, so my fears are justified.

If it wasn't dark out right now, I'd probably go and watch it right now. :-)
