Short Stories?

I need some help brainstorming ideas for a short story.

do something about a sport you like, a hobby, or some mundane activity everyone does everyday and make it funny.

it would probably be easiest to write something you know a lot about.

or you could just make a csi mystery for dummies. always wanted to do that. make the weirdest mystery you can come up with and then have the most retarded clues in the world. or you could always redo clue. mr. white in the dining room with the lead pipe.

just have fun. it will probably be easiest that way and if you can't have fun. do a story to torture your teacher. always a good choice. if you are doing this for a course that is.

Well, the way I get my ideas for my stories are just by getting inspiration from a movie I've watched or a book I've read and liked very much. If I like something very much, pretty soon I can't stop writing stories about it.

Watch some movies, read some books, find one that you like and pretty soon the words will just flow out onto the page without you having to think at all.

It's a site of generators to randomly produce concepts, characters, and descriptions for stories. You probably won't come up with any brilliant ideas here, but it's fun to play around with if you're bored. Once you access the site, the list of random generators is located on the left.
