Baby acne, it is normal. It can take a bit to go away. I have had 4 kids and all have had it to some degree. Don't put anything on it, no acne products. A baby's skin doesn't have the protective sealing that an adults does and it will soak up more of the harmful stuff than ours would.

Just what the others have said. Some call it baby acne but it's not really a pimple. don't try to pop or squeeze them even if they look like they should be popped. Don't scrub at them either. Sometimes my son would have them ALL over his little face, other days his skin would be clear. It goes away entirely in a few months. It's like cradle cap, an annoying newborn skin condition that you really can't do much about until they grow out of it :) It's unsightly but it's no big deal and nothing to worry over.

My son had and still gets an unknown rash on his face in the winter time. He was born Feb 9th 2005 and had it until spring. It was horrible and there was nothing the doctors could tell me about it. Last winter it came back. It was less severe but still very much there. This year a few weeks ago he started getting it again. Seems much better this time around though. All I ever could do was keep his face clean and use lotion on it. I had some stuff with oatmeal for babies. It was good. I still have it somewhere. I think it is by aveno. Email me if you wanna talk more about it. Good luck, Mandy

It's probably baby acne, my daughter developed it at about two weeks. It was all over her cheeks .It lasted for two weeks or so, maybe more, I can't remember. It doesn't bother them, they don't even know they have it. Another thing my daughter has is eczema. It's more isolated like a patch of tiny blisters. If you google or yahoo baby acne or eczema you can find descriptions and images of other babies who have it. Baby acne is so common especially if you carried late. Something about hormonal changes that affect the baby.It almost casues similar symptoms as puberty.

My son got that too as a newborn. My doc said that it is baby execma-and very normal. He said to use a warm wash cloth-water only-and wash baby's face every day.He also said use no soap at all on or near the face. And then Nature's Cure-I believe that is what it's called-makes a creme for babies with execma. It works really well-try that.

If she does not have any other symptoms, like a fever, I would bet it is baby achne. Both of my kids had it. Esp. if you are nursing. It happens to most babys.
Try not to panic. She will be ok. Give you doctor a call tomorrow just to confirm, but I bet that is what it is.

Its normal alot of babies get it when they are born and it's just because their skin is really dry. Doctors will tell you to just leave it alone and it'll go away on its own. You don't want to put anything on it unless it's something the doctor gives you. You might just make it worse!
