If they were hispanic, the stereotype being that white kids are bad, and do drugs and are disrespectful, I know a know a few people like this, should I be a good neighbor to them, I find this kind of thing disgusting, as if all hispanic kids are well raised saints Does anyone else know any hispanic people like this

Personally you may be judging them just because they are trying to be good parents...not good Hispanic parents. So, they want their kids to be raised right, they have the right to keep them away from bad influences. Maybe they don't think all white kids are bad they just aren't going to allow theirs to be so free roaming and get influenced by anyone that they believe is a bad influence. not just white people. Maybe there and I'm pretty sure there are other Hispanic kids that they wouldn't allow their children to hang out with either. So, are you judging them wrongly? People have the right to raise their kids in a way they feel is right for them as long as they aren't abusing them. Personally a lot of all ethnic groups white included are raised with an entitlement mindset and are disrespectful and don't listen or behave well for many reasons. These kids are lucky their parents care enough and take the time to make sure they are cared for and don't get into all the junk most kids are exposed to. That's my opinion. Until you talk to them and know why they do what they do, you can't judge. They may be strict Roman Catholic and they are raising their kids as such. They have the right and it would be a better world if all parents taught morals and values to their kids. My opinion.

Hi. Wow. That is tricky. My heart goes out to you because we want our kids to respect everybody, but in high school being part of your group is so important. You are right. You can't fight her battles for her and if you try to intervene too much it might only get worse. I think the best thing you can do is keep talking to your daughter about it. Help her and support her as she makes her choices as to how to respond to all of this. One thought for her: you can't always deal with several kids at once because they will go with the crowd, but try relating to one other black kid at a time. Let that other person see that you really are cool and they will be more likely to stand up for you in the group. I would only blow the whistle if the situation turned abusive or if your daughter is really getting depressed. She has chosen to walk between two cultures. That is not an easy thing to so. But it is the most mature choice she could make, so stand by her all that you can.

It sounds as if the parents are concerned about their child's welfare and safety. Perhaps these parents could be shown that their child's friends, friends of all cultures and ethnicity's, are rule obeying respectful young people. Give the parents time to get used to the idea, but do give them time and understanding.

I would try to prove myself as being worthy and perhaps try to change this perception around. Without doing this, they would perhaps breed these thoughts into their children. Hope this helps.

Call INS and have them deported. If they don't like the people here they should go back to where they came from and stay there.

Teach your kids that it is ok to be mean to her and her family and only her family. If they say something about it call la border patrola.
