I assume you are letting your insurance company or the other guy's insurance take care of things. Consider that they gave you an ESTIMATE not the price. How about Taxes and etc. Pay your deductible and don't worry about the price. You are just another statistic as far as the insurance company is concerned. Take the car to a reputable repair center that is licensed and bonded. Demand a rental car from the other guy's insurance if he was at fault.
Make sure that your car is repaired with original equipment parts not cheap after market junk. After your deductible is paid you shouldn't care what the price is. You paid for that protection, now reap the benefit . One other thing, make sure they repair your car in a reasonable length of time.

yes if you are satisfied with work, and he has a good history. I hit a city trash can at 45mph and did $2300 in damage. You'll have to ask the person what he will repair or replace. If he uses Bondo or body filler you'll be sorry. The car is only 2 years old, maybe smart to get a second opinion. By the way you can do a lot of damge at 5mph.

sounds too cheap... if they don't remove enough of the dent and just add a lot of bondo, it may look good for awhile, but will lower the value of the car.

that sucks a 2005 is still brand new and its already been ****** up
make sure it still goes straight. you want to make sure there's no damage to the frame. if there's any you want to have the insurance take care of it now.
800 bucks seems reasonable for the body work though. for 200 i'll give you a full night of body work. if you want to make me a coffee in the morning i'll change your oil too.

it does sound like a good price.. it is a lot of work to perform body work.. but you should always get MORE than one estimate when dealing with any kind of car work..
--here is a web site that shows very basic steps of bodywort
