no gaming system is worth $5k, especially when it can be built for 25% less than they are selling.

For that kind of money i would get a Falcon Northwest or Alienware PCs.
"1,100 watt power supply (the best)" = NOT, unless it's a power supply from PC Power & Cooling, now that's the best.
"3. AMD Anthlon Quad Sli CPU (the best)" = NO again. AMD beat Intel on the P4 but the Intel Quad core is much better than the AMD quad core.
"6. Dual graphics card motherboard with 7 PCI slots","8. Nvidia 8800 GTX 768 megabytes video card (the best)" = YES, in this case.
"15. 20 inch LCD monitor (the best)" = Questionable, since you didn't list the monitor brand, but Dell and Eizo makes one of the best monitor out there.
It's a good system but not great.

What an fool, there's no way it is going to be out of date in 18 months! I actually have a Dell Pentium 3 700mgz processor with 512 mb of ram and a 128 mb video card working residing house windows XP and fairly some different purposes basically fantastic.. THAT laptop IS 7 YEARS previous. in case you didnt understand 7 years is better than 18 months, its 80 4 months. with a working laptop or laptop like that, i will see it lasting a good 4-5 years, and nonetheless be earlier than the team technologies smart. in spite of the shown fact that 5 thousand.. nicely Im not sure it quite is worth 5 thousand, i mean, i will get tremendously lots the comparable element from dell for a good 4000.. minus the video games, keyboard/mice and temp meter.

If you are an extreme gamer, then maybe it is worth it. But they should really give you 4 gigs of RAM at that price - 2 is a bit miserly! Although to be fair, on a high-end machine much of the memory load is passed immediately to the graphics processor, so system RAM shouldn't be too heavily loaded. Part of the equation on such a specialized machine is how much after-sales service they will give you, and whether the company has a good long-term reputation. If they ignore you when a hardware problem arises, then the whole purchase idea starts to look bad...
Nice to have a quad-core :D

Sounds like an alienware computer to me. But the other people are right, if you're paying that much make sure you're getting the best processors. Also if it's not an alienware you should go check out the alienware website. They have a bad *** one for 5 grand (lol I cant even afford a 100 dollar comp) that you wouldnt have to upgrade for about 3 years lol. But it sounds pretty good for the price. Still check out places like newegg and alienware.

Like the guy above said, do you REALLY need that computing power? are you like running some small country somewhere?
Instead, my question to you is do you REALLY need all the BELLS and WHISTLES?
Pretty sad if you think a professional wiring job is anything more than doing it CORRECTLY. And I wouldnt pay extra for that, i would EXPECT it.
Forget the retail unless you really have no better use for your money (in that case, my paypal account is........ :D)
To answer you directly, no it is not worth the money.

Nope not unless you are going to be using it professionally running CAD on it. Other wise why do you need all that other than just show off maybe.
Incidentally by the time it gets to you from the shipper it will be out dated anyway.

The question is worth that, the real question is do you really need all that computing power. It does seem to be a bit much I would check out www.newegg.com and see what it prices on there for, I would never buy something like that from Best Buy.
