OK, for my team, Blackburn Rovers, it used to be Final Countdown by Europe(Urrgh!), it's now Irish Rover by some Irish band (not bad, but a bit wimpish). If I could chose it would be 'Wherever I may Roam' by Metallica, it's a ballsy and intimidating song, and its relevant to my team as it mentions 'Rover' in the title. So if you could chose which tune/song your team should come out to what would it be, why and name your team.

Cheers Wandererr9, the guy should have been knighted for what he did for Blackburn, the town and the club.

YNWA..what can compare to it?

In England, the song's most famous outing was recorded in the early 1960s by Liverpool Merseybeat group Gerry & the Pacemakers, which reached #1 in the UK charts on the 26th October 1963 where it stayed for 4 weeks. It quickly became the club anthem of Liverpool Football Club [1] and is invariably sung by its supporters moments before the start of the game [2]. The words You'll Never Walk Alone feature in the club crest. In recent years the fans of various other clubs have attempted to claim that they sang it first, but it appears that Liverpool has the much stronger claims [3]. In Scotland the song was later adopted as the anthem of Glasgow football club Celtic F.C.
So Liverpool was the first and they shall always be in my heart and I chose it because it's an inspiring song, just look at Liverpool's 2005 Champions League win...

no contest......

when you walk through the storm
hold your head up high
and don't be afraid of the dark
at the end of the storm, there'e a golden sky
and the sweet silver song of the lark
walk on through wind, walk on through the rain
for your dreams be tossed and blown

walk on. walk on. with hope in your heart
and you'll never walk alone
you'll never walk alone

YNWA - speaks for itself.
CELTIC ALWAYS+

PS. tv footage exists of Celtic fans singing YNWA in a 1953 European Cup match.
