You can, but it is a bit complicated. The info can be found on the Immigration and Naturalization Service web site. First he will need all shots thirty days before being brought through customs, and a formal document signed by the vet and translated must be presented. Better take look at the site and get all the details. I see people taking dogs both ways to and from Central America all the time.

Yes, you have to have proof of all the shots and that the dog is healthy. If you don't have the papers the dog has to stay in quarantine. I took my dog with me to Mexico on vacation.

Edit: Someone said the dog will understand only spanish, my dog only responds to spanish. Weird but true.

i'm not confident that "The Emperor" has ever been to Mexico beforehand... i stay right here and there are extra canines than human beings in some neighbourhoods... for sure in case you keep on with the North American resorts, you've under no circumstances extremely been to Mexico...

I wouldn't check the Immigration web site unless you want to get US citizenship for your pet, but you may want to check:

http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/toolbox/publications/travel/pets.ctt/pets.pdf

This is th Customs & Border Protection Pets & Wildlife requirement.

Whatever it costs - do it!
There is a big BIG shortage of dogs in America.

You could make a fortune.
People will pay silly money for any sort of dog - especially one that knows what "Sit" is in Spanish.
