Their partisan presence adds nothing and detracts from the purpose of the press being there

I am not referring to the questions, I am referring to the partisan statements that are made for no reason other than to further a cause - that has no value in a press conference.

Because, like it or not, this is still a free country. We elect our president; we pay his salary; we should be free to ask him any questions we like. Some of us are glad that people like Helen Thomas are part of the press corps. When the day comes that the press doesn't ask the hard questions, we can kiss our democracy goodbye.

So because you don't like what they are asking your choice for president they are partisan? They are not the only 2 doing the asking.

The better question is why is this administration tolerated ANYWHERE?

OH, and perhaps you haven't heard of the First Amendment?

We're in Iraq because no one took the administration to task on the validity of it's policy...these folks are doing it late, but better late than never
